Gujaratis from India arrived in Africa as traders over a century ago and many of them set up businesses and remained. They are present in many countries of Africa and are usually the largest Hindu population in those African countries. The Gujaratis in Malawi are involved in various forms of business in Malawi and tend to be wealthier than the rest of the population.
At the end of 2023, our Malawi Country Coordinator held a training for field partners in the north the country where there is a sizeable Gujarati population. They are attempting to start businesses as an access ministry to put them more naturally in contact with Gujaratis. Pray for the team leader.

Prayer Request:

• Wisdom and the Holy Spirit’s guidance to minister to Hindus. It is very different than ministering to those from traditional religion or Muslim backgrounds.
• Success in business. The team has a couple of businesses, but they must grow to be in a place to do business with Gujaratis who work on a bigger scale.
• Partnership. There is another mission seeing fruit among Gujarati. Pray GT and this team will be able to connect and bless one another.
• People of peace within the Gujarati community to surface.
