The GT team in Southeast Kenya met A. on an outreach to his Orma village. His family was in desperate poverty. Over a period of months, they demonstrated Christ’s love in practical ways to his children, prompting him to read the scriptures with them. Eventually A. and his family declared their allegiance to Christ. As A. began sharing his faith in his village, he encountered stiff resistance and accusations that the Christians were buying his allegiance through their helps. Months of these accusations has caused A. to step back from his faith.
The team has purchased a piece of land in an Orma village where they would like to begin a pre-school and dig a well to serve the Muslim community. Many Orma have heard of Jesus through reading the Koran and the team is working to build bridges of understanding.

Prayer Request:

• Pray for A’s faith to be strengthened and for God’s provision for his family.
• Pray for members of the team who are considering relocating to an Orma village.
• Pray for protection, wisdom and favor for the team as they reach out. This part of Kenya has a large fundamental Muslim Somali community.
• Pray for favor from Orma village elders where they have bought land.
• Pray for Financial provision to dig the well.
